1) Always read the seller's feedback. If the seller has less than one percent negative feedback to positive feedback, that is an excellent ratio.
2) Try browsing the eBay categories. eBay places all items that are on auction in the eBay category hierarchy. The top categories remain stable, but there are always new sub-categories showing up. You will find the top-level categories on the main eBay home page. From there you can drill down to the lowest level sub-category to find items very neatly grouped into very focused topics.
3) Ensure that you read the item description very carefully. There might be information in there that could could cost you a dear price if you ignored it. Ignorance will not free you of your responsibilities, unfortunately.
4) Do not bid on items that do not accept the payment method that you prefer. Or, at the very least, email the seller and ask them if they would accept that type of payment before you place your bid.
5) An eBay account (whether seller, buyer or both) may be suspended if there are too many complaints against the account holder.
The company's current business strategy includes increasing revenue by increasing international trade within the eBay system. Millions of collectibles, appliances, computers, furniture, equipment, vehicles, and other miscellaneous items are listed, bought, and sold daily.
