1) As a last resort when you have issues with a transaction, you should seek advice from consumer groups in your country, or from the police.
2) Paying by cheques and money orders: This is payment the old-fashioned way, and will lead to a long wait to your item. You need to post the cheque or money order, then the seller has to take it to the bank and get it cleared, and only then do they send the item. The only reason to use this method is if either you or the seller distrusts electronic payment methods. If you're willing to go to the trouble with these sellers, though, you might get an item very cheaply, as most buyers just can't be bothered. When you use a money order or check to pay, make sure to print the eBay order confirmation page (you will receive it via email) and put it in the envelope with your payment. Underline or circle important information like your mailing address and the item number. Finally, keep in mind to be patient: keep in contact with the seller, as it really can take a month or two before everything falls into place and your item shows up.
3) You can always tell if a listing has a Reserve Price by the indication next to the "Currently" amount, which will state either "reserve not yet met" or "reserve met".
4) Try browsing the eBay Stores. eBay Stores are a way for sellers to offer buyers both auction and fixed-price merchandise through an online storefront. You can get to the Stores either from the main eBay home page, or from the category display pages, where you will see a link.
5) You will often find that your positive feedback appears within a few minutes of you paying if you pay as soon as the auction ends.
Millions of collectibles, appliances, computers, furniture, equipment, vehicles, and other miscellaneous items are listed, bought, and sold daily. Over the years, eBay has introduced all sorts of different auction types, in an effort to give people more options when they buy and sell their things on eBay.

In November 1996, eBay entered into its first third-party licensing deal, with a company called Electronic Travel Auction to use SmartMarket Technology to sell plane tickets and other travel products.
