1) Build relationships: If a seller sells a lot of a certain kind of thing you like, buy from them a few more times.

3) The amount shown as the value for "Currently" on a listing is the acual current bid price for the item. It changes each time a bidder submits a bid.

4) You might find that there are times when you should leave the Buy it Now button as a last resort: it can be a useful way of ending last-minute contests with a decisive 'this is mine' gesture.

5) If, in a Reserve Listing, the bidder bids an amount lower than the reserve, the bid will increment up according to the rules for proxy bidding. Though the amount for "currently" will increase accordingly, the reserve indication will remain "reserve not met".
