Pointers to Show You the Way with Buying Merchandise on eBay:

1) Don't be afraid to browse: Once you've found the category that items you like seem to be in, why not click 'Browse' and take a look through the whole category?

2) Don't be a difficult customer: Understand that your seller might take a day or so to reply to you, and perhaps a few days to dispatch your item - harassing them is nasty and unnecessary, and won't get you good feedback.

3) Small and large transactions carry the same weight in the feedback summary.

4) If an item does not show the shipping charges, always get a quote from the seller before you place your bid. Some seller charge exorbitant shipping fees, and you have no recourse if you did not clarify it with the seller before you placed your bid.

5) Always check your seller's history to see whether they sell your item all the time - and if they do, then wait for the next one instead of bidding to the skies.

The company's current business strategy includes increasing revenue by increasing international trade within the eBay system. Large international companies, such as IBM, sell their newest products and offer services on eBay using competitive auctions and fixed-priced storefronts.

Looking Back at eBay History:

In April of 2006, eBay opened its new eBay Express site, which is designed to work like a standard Internet shopping site to consumers with United States addresses.
