1) A good strategy is to always buy a few things at once from the same buyer, as they will almost always offer you a discount on the postage.
2) When there is a red Stores icon next to a seller's name, it means the seller has a storefront on eBay where you can browse all the items that the seller has on sale. It is worthwhile to take a look through the Stores every now and again.
3) Exclude words in your search: Put a minus, and then put any words in brackets that you don't want to appear in your search results. For example: "Pulp Fiction" -(poster,photo) will find items related to Pulp Fiction but not posters or photos.
4) On items over 9, Buyer's Credit is now being automatically offered to buyers in the USA only. Just click the link when you buy something for more than 9 and you will be taken through the application process, which includes a 30-second check on your credit history. Then you just go through the buying process as normal, and you get your item before you've paid a penny.
5) It's a heady feeling when you win your first eBay auction: a mixture of happiness and perhaps just a little fear.
Over the years, eBay has introduced all sorts of different auction types, in an effort to give people more options when they buy and sell their things on eBay. The company's current business strategy includes increasing revenue by increasing international trade within the eBay system.
