Advice to Lend a Hand with Saving Money on eBay:

1) While disliked by many eBay users, sniping is not against eBay rules, and is, in many cases, in the best interest of the bidder.

2) You might find that there are times when you should leave the Buy it Now button as a last resort: it can be a useful way of ending last-minute contests with a decisive 'this is mine' gesture.

3) In the case where a tie bid is submitted, then the bid that was submitted first wins the auction.

4) If a buyer has problems, he or she can rate the seller "negative" and leave a comment such as "never received product".

5) If the item you are viewing has unclear pictures, email the seller and ask them for better pictures.

Large international companies, such as IBM, sell their newest products and offer services on eBay using competitive auctions and fixed-priced storefronts. Millions of collectibles, appliances, computers, furniture, equipment, vehicles, and other miscellaneous items are listed, bought, and sold daily.

Did You Know?

In November 2006, a United Kingdom High Court ruled that a VeRO rightsholder's takedown request to eBay constituted a legal threat under design patent law.
