1) If, in a Reserve Listing, the bidder bids an amount lower than the reserve, the bid will increment up according to the rules for proxy bidding. Though the amount for "currently" will increase accordingly, the reserve indication will remain "reserve not met".
2) Far too many sellers just put 'rare' into all of their descriptions - the chances are that the item is common and has just been described wrongly.
3) You will often find that your positive feedback appears within a few minutes of you paying if you pay as soon as the auction ends.
4) Take the time to write a positive comment about sellers who do what they should and the chances are they'll do the same for you.
5) You can always tell if a listing has a Reserve Price by the indication next to the "Currently" amount, which will state either "reserve not yet met" or "reserve met".
